wow, after this year I thought someone would stop saying kobe is a ballhog.
He was when he was playing with Shaq but not anymore.
if you watch lakers game now, he does not have to make 50-60 points every night anymore as his teammates are so much better than past two years.
And yes, Gasol is here but you have to give a lot of credit to guys who were there before Gasol got there to get him involved in the triangle.
I've never seen Odom play so well as he did these days.
Anyway, kobe deserves the MVP this year because his team was #1 in the west and NO was #2.
I think most people who voted for kobe in this yr's MVP vote did so because lakers was the #1 seed team and swept the Nuggets in the 1st round.

Well I remember years ago in MLB that A-Rod won the NL MVP award when he was on the Rangers and they finished in LAST place. Its about who has the best all around stats basically. Lebron could have won it considering he had 30, 7, 7. only Jordan and Oscar Robertson ever did that. I agree with what people are saying, every Cavs game I've ever watched I've seen Lebron complain like a baby atleast 3 times. Just because your considered one of the best in the game does not give you special treatment. (Except from the refs, you all know what i'm talking about).

im glad you understand my point. myself included see him cry to a ref alot. now you have your veteran players such as chauncey billups, tim duncan, kevin garnett, they TALK to the refs. they just calmly explain what they thought of the call. LEBRON goes and looks like hes about to cry and throws a hissy fit.
and to the answer and birdvsworm, i hate lebron before he elminated the pistons, although that series was bogus. he had one breakout game and then after was suppose to shine into mj during the finals, but a short 4 game sweep cameHidden Content

the cavs without Lebron would NOT have made the playoffs any higher than the 8th seed....if that....I don't think it matters how many wins your team has, as it's not MVT (most valuable team), but MVP....if it were MVT, the best player in the league wouldn't ever get recognition

When I hear Kobe's name and how valuable he is, I think back to before this season started. Remember his comments about the Lakers organization and his teammates? Yeah, real classy.

yeah, unfortunately they don't take that into consideration.....although they should, cuz he's not conducive to 'team play' or 'team get-along'

so he did it once in the playoffs, which he didnt really, only because haywood blew it up, and you call him a daily "cry baby"? makes sense to me. being a pistons fan, you have really no right to talk about cry babys, seeing as how you have the biggest complainer in the league in rasheed wallace.

i cant disagree, sheed is the biggest baby in the league, but he is also right alot about the calls. im just saying you can watch most games the cav's play on a daily basis lebron crys about 2-3 calls a game. he needs to be more of a leader, not imply he;d rather be on another team, critizing the PG's on the team by saying jason kidd will shoot them to the best team, he also has similar qualities as kobe when degrading his teammates

LEBRON!?!?!?!?
DEGRADING HIS TEAM MATES!?!?!?!?
if anything he helps his team mates. imagine daniel gibson coming in on his rookie year, knowing he is playing with bron, he was probably as nervous as he's ever been. lebron practiced with him, went to his rc game, 3 point contest, sophmore game, every even boobie has done. everytie boobie has done something well, bron always agnolodges it.
also, are you saying if lebron didnt play for cleveland next season that they would have a better record next year? b/c that makes perfect sense. 30, 7, 7 cant improve a team at all.

dont you remember this year and last year him always saying, "i love jason kidd, we need to trade for him" thats pretty much saying that he doesnt think gibson is good. im not saying lebron not there makes him better, but hes not mj, never going to and not close to it. MJ was a team leader, never started controversy, was a team player, didnt complain, wasnt a crybaby, had a great jump shot and most of all could MAKE the winning shot, which lebron missed in game 5 again with a short floater not going in, then complained he was fouled
