i watch as much basketball as i can prob. 25 games a week or so, im def. a true nba fanatic.

Nuggets didnt get the better deal here, sportsnut.

    Iversons a better player period.

If you get the best player out of a deal, especially when he's in a contract year, you're ahead in the trade by default.

Especially when you see chauncey play. hobbling up and down the court he's old slow and his shot isn't what it used to be.

LOL. That is the most ignorant thing I have ever read. The Pistons sure need a SG...

it doesnt matter if iverson has more talent, thats not what the nuggets need they have enough fire power without him. they need a true pg that can play 'd' and thats what they have in chauncey

Exactly. And it frees up J.R. Smith to start at SG...All the trade does for Detroit is continue to block Rodney Stuckey.

i will briefly explain why McDyess is unhappy. last season was a contract year, he mentioned he loved Detroit and wanted to finish his career with the Pistons. He wanted to come off the bench which makes him more effective and thats why Amir Johnson starts now.

so when he got traded i'm sure he had no idea it was coming and doesnt want to play anywhere else because he liked Detroit so much. I think him and Cheick Samb (something like that..lol) were thrown in so the salarys would match or so Pistons wouldnt go over, i wouldnt be suprised to see him back in Detroit sometime soon

I have to disagree with Nuggets getting the better end of the deal. With Martin, Anthony, Nene, JR Smith, Billups, and maybe Kleiza (with this being a contract year for him) making $10 million+ a year, that's 7 players and Denver is already WAY over the salary cap. Denver has been trying to get something for Iverson's contract, but it looks like the Nuggets are in financial hell right now. Why the Nuggets offered to take this offer is beyond me.

I still believe that Billups is one of the most underrated player in the NBA with his ballhandling, leadership and clutch ability, but Iverson is definitely one of the best at his size and position.

Honestly, I'm not sure how it will work in Detroit, but getting rid of a 4-year contract of a player on the decline and a big man who'll retire in 1-2 years, for $21 million off the books is just a steal. I don't know what Dumars did to get this opportunity, but this man is a genius, with a few missteps.
