[quote=Aikman_TheGreat;4261696]Ok, I have mine. I'll keep mine. I have two coming in the end of this week. And I'll also have those. I'll continue to hunt. I'll continue to keep the coyotes, bobcats, and mountain lions away from my cows and calves. I'll continue to hunt, and enjoy it. I'll have trophies and meat (not just store bought). I'll also continue to protect my family, friends, and fellow man.

    agreed 100%
should we even bring up the fact that the only reason there is a U.S of A is because the founding fathers had guns to fend off the brits or that it the citizens today with guns that keep the feds in check, just think what 'ol g.w. would of done if he knew there was no opposition to him just declairing martial law and becoming king

Absolutely. Again, I must stress that this is a very slow and long process.

Ok. But what if an officer comes in contact with a criminal with a gun?

    AMEN!!!!!!!!!!!

The only reason we have this GREAT country that we have is because of the guns that we fought of the world power (at the time, England). Now we have freedom.

It's a slow process, meaning those would retain guns longer than others. Of course, officers would be the last to give them up. There does, of course, exist the possibility of someone retaining a weapon, but, with the proper documenting system and the halt in gun production, it would be very unlikely.

While I have no desire to ever own a gun myself, I don't see anything wrong with people exercising their right to own one.

I do think the requirements and process of getting a gun should be stricter though.

    And I 100% respect that. I do.

I dont agree with it. But I do respect the fact that it is your opinion.

agreed, but its fairly strict allready to legally buy a gun/rifle,now on the black market, cash talks and no law will stop that, better law enforcement and gang crack downs will

    Someone retaining a weapon ??

I'll bet everything I have that if you just let people defend themselves we're better off. If the bad guys know we're supposed to call 911 and wait for "the man" to come and protect us then we're screwed.

I want the bad guy to have to worry about the common man.

I'm right there with you. I really want much harsher penalties on gun crimes, because, if you look at this thread, it makes leagal gun owners look bad. Plus maybe itll keep the guns out of the wrong hands.

I said earlier, I bought a gun earlier today and they made me fill out a paper and then they called the FBI (Yes, the FBI) to do a background check on me. Guns being sold legally seems good to me, but we HAVE to do something about the wrong people getting guns in their hands.
