If someone wanted to kill you, they would. Be ignorant if you want. Its not the weapon, its the person behind the weapon.

Now we're going to debate bank robberies in one city of one country based on an article written 4+ years ago?

Just think though..........You go into a bank with a gun and expect the teller to give you gobs of money.
She refuses ! OMG what do you do ?
You turn to run out of the bank and there's five people with their guns trained on you !
I have faith in America and one of the things that has sustained us is the the belief that the common man will do the right thing.

Beside the point???? Come on. The point, if i'm gettin YOU correctly, is that guns are deadly (which they are). But you are wantin to ban them because of that, which other things are as well? Why ban guns, but not everything else that is deadly??? Explain that.
I get your point, I really do. But if you were to ban guns for the reason your stating, that they can be used to kill people. Why not ban other things that kill people.
The first murder ever was not done by a gun of any type, guns were not even invented at that time.

You initiated it by saying guns cause an increase in crime. I am just pointing out facts. I could get more, but as Aikman said it will not change anyone's mind. I do respect your opinion, because you have the right to one. I will continue to own my guns, hunt and enjoy the wonderful freedom I have in the United States of America. Thanks for the debate tonight, I really do sincerely mean that. Hopefully you can see it as it is and respect our opinions as well.

Guns are more than deadly. I think Rock explained the purpose of everything else that can be used to inflict violence, but the gun is designed solely for that purpose. As such, it's pointless to debate other items.

Should we take them away from officers of the law then?

I respect all opinions. I have a very farfetched belief when it comes to guns (I'm likely the only one on this site who does), and I will continue to defend this belief.

Absolutely. Again, I must stress that this is a very slow and long process.
