I'm disappointed I was in class and missed this today. However, today is a great day to be an American as we have the ushering in of a new era. The last 8 years was only approved by about 22% of the population and that is why there are parties everywhere.

However, the comment made about terrorists running the country if Bush was never elected? That's very far from realistic thinking.

maybe but you can't say he screwed anything up...he can't control anything that goes on in this country...he's just a scapegoat used by the media that everyone some how believe....

i personally think that kerry would've ran and hid and let them take over our country because he's a wimp...and honestly do you think that bush had any effect on anything...the president doesn't control gas prices, the economy, inflation and many other things one bit but liberals like to think that republican presidents do and democrat presidents don't...seems odd to me...

And seriously, the idea of the taliban, who dress in my old bedsheets, shoot guns that were made in the 70's, rub two sticks together for heat, and sleep on hay in a cave....the idea of them taking over our country is the most absurd thing i've ever heard. How would they get here? Do they have any planes to fly over here? Do they have any ships to sail over here? HAHA... You & Bush would get along well

regardless of what you or others think...Bush had eggs thrown at his car because he hijacked the White House. I guess they just knew he was going to be the worst president in the history of our country, and felt like welcoming him appropriately.

i just don't like people who think that the president has the most power in the world when they have very little...people can veto everything they want to do...and i think being safe for 8 years is pretty good considering what clinton set him up for...

The President has a tremendous impact on the economy when you consider he has the power to veto whatever Congresses passes through to him. This includes anything that requires government funding, tax policy, etc etc.

I'm not saying Bush is to blame for the economy but he certainly played his part in expanding our national debt. You make it seem like he sat on his *** helplessly for 8 years because he had no power when in reality he had more power than anyone in the country.
