every time I go into my card store I pick up the packs to look at the odds, its just a natural thing to do. that guy sounds like a jerk

It's not like you picked up 3-4 packs and started feeling for cards. I would of took the Conley back in and said "I'll trade you this for another pack of those cards I checked out earlier supposedly".

i wouldnt have bought anything, its obvious to tell when someone is trying to pack search, but its also easy to tell when someone isnt and there just looking...i do that, i'll pick up a pack and put it down, just because i'm thinking about getting it like you were

My owner keeps the packs behind the counter. He can tell you anything you need to know about the product, and situations like this get avoided. He'll let you pick the pack and everything, just not feel all over it. Sorry that guy was such a jerk to you.

And btw, Big Baby isn't in Topps Hardwood anyways ; )

That's what I do sometimes. My wife (when she was my gf) and I went into Ralph Lauren one time...I was in jeans and a tshirt and she was probably in the same thing. The store clerk gave us the snotty "Can I help you?" and pretty much looked at us like we were trash and were wasting her time. So we browsed, picked up stuff, never looked at a price...we talked loud enough so she could hear, but not like we were trying to make sure she heard. We talked about how poor quality things were and how cute it was that they thought this was high class stuff, about how only poor people would think this was nice stuff...she didn't say anything else to us, I could tell it was really making her mad.
