That's what I do sometimes. My wife (when she was my gf) and I went into Ralph Lauren one time...I was in jeans and a tshirt and she was probably in the same thing. The store clerk gave us the snotty "Can I help you?" and pretty much looked at us like we were trash and were wasting her time. So we browsed, picked up stuff, never looked at a price...we talked loud enough so she could hear, but not like we were trying to make sure she heard. We talked about how poor quality things were and how cute it was that they thought this was high class stuff, about how only poor people would think this was nice stuff...she didn't say anything else to us, I could tell it was really making her mad.
Hahahaha! That is PRICELESS!

NYFANCAM01,
know what makes it even better? A "Sports World" (for cards & collectables), just opened a half a mile down that highway!
I should've said to the guy.
"Yea... I'm searching..... Oh i also see that new Sports World that opened down the street. Take my $500 there might I?"
Would've gave the guy a heart attack!

How do you know he was stereotyping him? I don;t think there's an overall stereotype of younger kids searching. Most of the guys I know that search packs are older, but maybe that's just me.,
The guy should have handled things differently, but as we know not every card shop owner is known for being a people person.

Kinda OT but I had a similar story from when I was car shopping last summer (I was 21 at the time and looking for new cars). I went to test drive one of the cars after work but had been in the field all day so I wasn't dressed that nice and had gotten a little dirty. Needless to say the salesman completely disregarded the possibility that I might actually be interested in purchasing the car I had asked to test drive and gave me about a 1 mile test drive during which he asked me to slow down when I reached 45 mph and then dismissed most of my questions I had about the car. Despite his horrendous service I returned to buy the car about 2 weeks later....just not from him. I walked into the office right next to his and that guy made a nice commision that day. Meanwhile the jackass salesman saw me go in as I looked him straight in the eye and he had some serious regrets when he realized what was up.

yea i'm not sure. i am 15, going on 16
but i don't think that he'd think i'd be searching. guess i was wrong
maybe he thought i wasn't even in the hobby, just getting a pack with my allowance like a 10 year old (btw i have a job, lol)
so who knows.
what i DO know, is that i shop elsewhere from now on
