Salary space for 2010.
I'm guessing they are trying to have the big 3 that consists of...
Brook Lopez (capable of being a franchise center)
Devin Harris
Wade/LeBron/Bosh/Carmelo whoever....

I see, makes sense.
Well that sucks for the 4 PG's this season...
All guys are capable of playing BIG minutes, will be sad to see them so limited.

Also.......
Ryan Anderson has reportedly been traded to the Magic for their trade exception.
Anderson was up and down in his rookie season and will now be a role player for the Magic. The teams also swapped Vince Carter for Rafer Alston, Courtney Lee and Tony Battie in a second deal on Thursday.

They'll keep Harris obviously.
They'll keep Rafer because of his expiring contract.
Lee plays SG (I thought....), so I don't see a problem with minutes. Also, he'll be a nice role player to whoever comes in 2010. But, if they pick Terrance Williams, minutes might be an issue.
Dooling is the odd man out. His 3 million dollar contract goes through 10/11. They'll be looking to trade him.

Good grief. So far we've seen the strong teams get stronger via trade. More to come I'm sure.
Short term (next year or two) this is a great trade for Orlando. I imagine this rules out Hedo though.

Not that bad, but I don't totally like it for the Magic. Vince gets his numbers, but he's been a black hole for a few years now.
Anderson showed some promise though, and is an obvious upgrade over Battie.
I don't care for Alston much, but Lee proved himself in the players for a rookie. Speed kills, and Lee and Harris in NJ is a lot of speed.
It is either going to be hit or miss for Orlando. IF Vince stays healthy, and IF he buys into the team concept a bit more than he has recently (maybe the potential to win a title will change him at least a little), then it can work.

Defintly a good deal for Orlando, Carter was healthy last year, and it kinda responds to the Cavs getting Shaq i think, i wonder if this puts alittle pressure on Boston to "improve"
