I hate to say it guys but "Else Where" seems to have a step up on this forum. I joined that forum about a mounth and a half ago and have an easier time finding what I need. Given, on this forum, you will see some of the higher end cards from recent releases pulled by members. However, the members there will look out for you and help you get what you want versus just not caring about what you need. You do see the core of the forum on both sites, it is almost as if the two need to come together and make a super forum.

opps ....I forgot to add on your contest don't put TBA for a prize....put the prize up in the contest description...if you do TBA it could lead to hard feelings between members...
imagine if you have 2 contest both are same type...
and one person who is new to the board wins and the TBA prize becomes a 2003 Vip Mile Master set...
then the next person who happens to be one of the more popular members on here wins the same contest next week and their TBA prize becomes a 3 color race used sheet metal of Dale Jr...
by posting the prize before the winner you eliminate any sign of favoritism among members....

One thing i don't care for at this site is the trading system for posting trades and all that, elsewhere seems a little simpler, not to mention a lot of times you don't even have to post a trade because the people are that good. Theres good people here in the racing community but it seems a little smaller of a group.

i am a pretty active member of both sites but "Elsewhere" is where i spend most of my time online. i feel that "Elsewhere" is more of a family and there are so few members that everyone knows and respects each other. i hate coming on this site only to see stick and ball guys putting us down on our forum, this is not about competition its about racing collectors having a place to call home. i think the racing collectors should vote for who should be mods over here instead of having random people pop in and play sheriff, i have friends on both sites but i've always felt much more comfortable on "Elsewhere".

...I just don't get why this thread has somewhat turned into a 'hate on SCF' thread. Why are we even comparing the two? Sure, we should be using the other site as a comparison in the sense of how SCF should be TOWARDS the racing forum here (because like others have said, the other site has much more of a family feel to it, and everyone knows everyone), but I don't get why people are all bashing SCF. If you don't like the site, that's fine...but I don't think Mike is looking for people who mainly deal on the other site to come into this thread and start hating on this site.
I'm on SCF much more than the other site for the sole purpose that I collect/trade BB/FB/BKB as well....but that's just me. I love the direction that the other site goes in, and the fact that we can actually speak our minds over there...but I'll leave it at that, since I'm always getting yelled at for speaking my mind here. :)

lots of good thoughts and opinions. Id like to thank Chris for spending the time to give us that many suggestions. As a racing only collector "elsewhere" is a great place. I enjoy both places very much and will continue to do so. This is going to be an uphill battle-and I appreciate everyone from here and "elsewhere" coming in to share their thoughts to try and help us. SCF has its downfalls and its better moments, as does Elsewhere. We all need to remember however, that we are all racing collectors and we all love this hobby, I have all my life and will continue to do so.
