I think that's more speculation then anything else. I could honestly say that NOBODY, not even ESPN, knows what LO is going to do, but everybody feels that the logical move is to resign with the Lakers even with the current offer.
Including Lamar himself...lol

No offense to the Lakers fan, but if I'm Odom, I'd be ****** at the 25/27 million dollars for 3 years.
**** Ron Artest got more than that.

Yeah, but that's still the best offer out there per year. Plus, Odom is a bench player, while Artest will be a starter.
Also, even though it's a bit of a low ball, I think Odom should be grateful that Buss was willing to put another offer on the table. Usually, once he has his mind made up, he's very stubborn to change it.

Stubborn or not, it's still a low-ball offer to a player that was, IMO, a key factor to the Lakers run.
And I know that you also know that Odom can be a starter on your team or any other team. Just like Manu could be a starter for the Spurs, but he just comes off the bench.
Right now, guaranteed money means more.
We'll see though.
Sometimes it is more than money, but most of the time it is.

Well, none of this would have happened, if Odom would have just taken the first offer.

Artest is only making the MLE I believe - so that's under $6 million per year, right? Maybe his entire contract is worth more than the $27 million?

Yup, that's true, but I believe Artest has an option to opt out of his contract after his 3rd year.
