That would be like literally my dream, I wish that could happen...

I voted yes because then I'd just collect the base RC's but I do like high-end stuff as that's what I collect. However to see nice graded RC's of vintage HOFers from baseball and football and so on is awesome to. But yet there very expensive.

I voted NO. I just recently got back into collecting and did so because of the highend rc auto's. If there was no highend patch rc auto's, i dont see myself gettin back into the hobby like i did.

I wonder how many no voters are just investors, and are in to flip for more money?

Im in it for fun. If i want a card for my collection and its in mint condition, im going to pay what it takes to get that card knowing im not going to get back what i paid for it. Im sure some of the "no" voters are just investers but alot of names on that list are good collectors.

This is a great question. I'd bet some of the "no" votes are investors and flippers...
This is pretty much how I collect. I'm a collector and by no means in this to profit. If I ever sell a card for more than I paid, it's to make up for a beating I took on another card. I enjoy collecting as it keeps me connected to the sport I grew up watching with my dad as a kid, put me through college, and made me the man I am today. I just personally think the auto and the patch make for a more intense connection to the game (for me at least).

Voted no. I am not in it to flip cards and make money. I mean, I do that, but only as a way of getting more money to spend on cards. Also, when I buy boxes, I try to always put together the base set of whatever I buy. I'm putting together the base set and most of the insert sets of 09 Allen & Ginter. So I guess you could say I do a little of everything. I like the AU/GU stuff because it's unique. It's similar to full-size memorabilia pieces to me. I also picked collecting up in my early 20s after not buying anything since I was in my early teens, and I would quit if it went back to just cardboard (with the exception of maybe buying some graded RC of players I like on eBay).

I'm guessing many collectors share this thought.
