What if we luck into the #1 spot... (we have no such luck - its just not somethin that Happens in Minneosta)... I'd almost reckon we should trade it and Rubio for some real talent to compliment the team we are already building... only so much youth we need. Although when does a team ever trade the #1 overall pick? Who is the best prospect? is it John wall? We wouldn't need him would we? Suppose we'd look for the best big man if there is one.
What do we think about Ellington's chance of developing into a starting quality shooting guard?? That could be the position we need to upgrade.

Yeah, if we got the #1 pick, I'd think we'd be better off trading it, even though we can still use help...but, we need veteran leadership more...trade the #1 pick, Rubio's rights, and some higher paid players (Blount perhaps) for Dwight Howard...I'd be cool with that :-)
Yes, I believe John Wall is the best prospect...he's the one that all the hoopla surrounds right now.
Ellington looks great - far better than the #28 pick! I think he could become a pretty good player...or at least a decent backup to a Joe Johnson-type player.

You live in fantasy land don't you? You could through the Franklin Mint at Orlando and they wouldn't trade Dwight lol
But I know what you mean, could still land a pretty big fish if we traded 1st round pick and rights to rubio away. Then as long as we are winning the big fish might be inclined to stay in freezing minnesota lol

I didn't say it WOULD happen...just wouldn't mind if it did...you should know, as a Wolves fan, that pretty much all we have is to dream...lol
But yeah, I think we are in a decent position...we just have to give up a 1st rounder to the Clippers either this year or next, depending on where we are in the draft lottery (yes, the lottery...I know, it's shocking that we won't make the playoffs!). Aside from that, we should still be in a good spot in terms of young talent, free agency and trading for veteran star(s)

You know what the only thing this thread is making me realize... Is that our franchise is a current mess.

And that the Wolves seem to only have 3 fans that are SCF members...or at least 3 SCF members that aren't afraid to admit they are Wolves fans...lol

Haha definitely, we go down with the ship at least. I bet there isn't a Clippers thread.

I don't think there are any big-time Clippers fans........on this forum, I mean
lol But there is a Nets thread...and actually, the Clippers are not doing too bad...yeah, they'll still miss the playoffs most likely, but they are improving...something I wish the Wolves would do...they "improve" by making what look to be good roster moves, but it doesn't show in our record
