Just a projection based on my opinion. We obviously differ on "Scherzer hasn't done anything in the majors." I think the numbers he's put up at every level (college, minors, majors) have been impressive.
What Porcello has accomplished already is extremely impressive. If you watch him pitch you know he gets it. He has what it takes to get hitters out at the highest level on stuff alone, but he knows how to pitch and stay in control (which is something young pitchers usually lack). I was blown-away. Oh, and he's only 20 and only pitched in hi-A for one year before doing what he did in the majors.
To Dan, I'm a Yankee fan, doesn't mean I'm a homer lol. I can give credit where credit is due. Just because I picked the Twins at the All-Star break doesn't mean I'm a Tiger-hater either.

nobody has touched on why the yankees would be going after another CF when we have 1 already. IMO, this leads up to the yankees landing Halladay (melky to jays) which is the only acquisition i care about this off season. but i will take granderson for coke and kennedy and a player that has 0 career MLB AB's.
lets go yankees!

lol, Porcello has a swagger about him, hard to explain but he just is flawless out there, i see him on Verlanders path, started out solid and eventually a big strikeout pitcher...
So Schlereth Auto.....want to trade/sell it to its newest super collector?

The Yankees aren't getting Halladay. It would make no sense. At this point, the Blue Jays would need two of Joba, Hughes, and Montero. The Yankees can just go out and sign Lackey. Before the Halladay fans attack that, I know Lackey isn't on the same level as Halladay. But he's a lot easier to acquire.
They will probably sign either Damon or Bay and maybe a cheap SP. They'll also probably acquire some BP help that won't cost them a 1st. Lackey is still in the picture I think, but probably a long shot.

Nope lol, just a few GUs, parallels etc, probably 200-300 base (yes, i neer thought they would really trade him, should they trade Cabrera, i'll be stuck in ex Tigers cards)

Granderson would be a good fit to the Yanks because if they loss Damon, they would have a #2 hitter. I do like Phil Coke though and would be a bit disappointed to see him go.

I do! Well, 4 actually.
And I agree with what you said earlier. Granderson is better suited for the bottom half of the lineup. And I also agree that Scherzer is the shiz. I've been impressed with him since he played at Mizzou.
