Hit up the Detroit Lions as they checked into their hotel tonight. Got the following to sign for me:

linebacker Ashlee Palmer - 1/1 cover of my 2011 Lions Pet Calendar

quarterback Matthew Stafford - 1/1 trading card (got escorted by one of the security guys over to us inside the hotel to sign as my buddies are good acquaintances with the Lions' head security personnel)

return specialist Stefan Logan - 1/1 8 x 10 photo

Offensive tackle Corey Hilliard, offensive guard Leonard Davis, linebacker Justin Durant, running back Kevin Smith, corner back Aaron Berry, safety Louis Delmas, and head coach Jim Schwartz signed, but I didn't get them. Missed out on offensive tackle Jeff Backus, as I got into place as he was heading inside after signing. One of my buddies' girlfriend got Calvin Johnson on her team-signed football as we were waiting inside. Everyone else ignored or wasn't needed.

No, you're suppose to wait outside of the hotel by a barricaded section and the players will come over to sign there if they want. I just have connections that allows me to wait on the inside. I've done both though.
