Nice job up there in Detroit. Guess you have been busy despite the NBA lockout...

Thanks. I tried to keep on graphing with or without the NBA. Even with the upcoming season underway, I won't be doing much graphing at the hotel anymore due to my current work schedule, so most of my graphing for this NBA season would be at the games.

Attended the local FM radio station 98.7 AMP Radio's "Kringle Jingle" show featuring Hot Celle Rae, Sam Adams, and Wiz Khalifa with my girlfriend at the Fillmore Detroit tonight. Before the show, we tried to catch some of the artists as they arrived there. I didn't care for Hot Chelle Rae, so we both didn't go to the side where their bus was parked. Waited on the side where Wiz Khalifa's bus was parked to try to get him before the show. Saw Sam Adams enter the venue by way of a cab, so we both got him on an index card. Wiz came out and headed for the entrance without signing for anyone, of course his bus reeked of the green stuff.
We left a little early before Wiz's performance ended. Granted that we both took separate cars, so she went on her way and I stayed to try to catch Wiz after the show. Saw Wiz's homeboy, Chevy Woods, but I didn't get him. Waited about an hour and a half, but he didn't come out. Since there were no more security around the venue, me and two other guys waiting invited ourselves inside. We made it to the second floor, but was stopped by Wiz's bodyguards. Though there were only 3 of us, Wiz's bodyguards wouldn't let us up to the 3rd floor where Wiz was hanging out with his family. His bodyguards were really cool though as we chatted with them and one of Wiz's bodyguards took our items up to be signed by Wiz. Ended up getting my 5 x 7 photo signed by Wiz as he even added his own "Taylor Gang Or Die" inscription, though I wanted him to personalize it to me with "Keep on toking". We thanked the bodyguards and went our ways.

Detroit Lions' linebacker Bobby Carpenter and defensive end Willie Young made an appearance for a free signing at the newly opened Fanatic U store out in Fraser, MI tonight. Though they were there to sign for free, a purchase was required to get their signatures. I only brought a trading card for Bobby and had nothing for Willie, so decided to purchase a photo of Willie and a photo of Bobby, to get that signed instead. Of course, I asked both of them if they could include "Go Lions" on the photos, which they did.

Immediately afterward, drove out to the Hard Rock Cafe in downtown Detroit to catch the weekly "Lions Review" show broadcasting there. Tonight's guest was Kyle Vanden Bosch, so got him to sign a mini-football (which will be going in a case so I could display it in my cubicle at work), plus got a photo with Kyle as well.

I am really impressed with the amount of appearances Lions players make. Cardinals players do next to nothing.

Detroit Red Wings' center Darren Helm and left winger Justin Abdelkader made an appearance at the Hockeytown Authentics store out in Troy, MI today to help raise money for The Salvation Army Red Kettle Campaign. They both were outside collecting donations, signing autographs for a $10 donation per player, and posing for photos for 2 hours there. Didn't need Darren, so made the monetary donation and got Justin to sign my 8 x 10 photo. Also asked if he could add "Go Wings!" on it, which he gladly did. It was too cold, so I decided not to get the photo op with.

Went to the hotel to catch the Detroit Lions upon checking in tonight. Got the following players to sign for me as they arrived there:
linebacker Justin Durant - 1/1 trading card
wide receiver Titus Young - 1/1 micro-helmet
corner back Alphonso Smith - 1/1 trading card
quarterback Drew Stanton - 1/1 trading card
linebacker Stephen Tulloch - 1/1 trading card
Offensive guard Leonard Davis, running back Aaron Brown, defensive back Don Carey, return specialist Stefan Logan, defensive tackle Sammie Hill, safety Louis Delmas, defensive end Kyle Vanden Bosch, tight end Will Heller, and defensive end Willie Young signed, but I didn't need them. Everybody else ignored or wasn't needed.

Attended the Detroit Lions vs. Minnesota Vikings game at Ford Field today. Arrived there early to try to get some autographs during pregame warm ups. Missed out on Lions' running back Kevin Smith, Vikings' quarterback Joe Webb, and Vikings' wide receiver Percy Harvin as they signed for the other side of the tunnel. Lions' safety Louis Delmas, Lions' linebacker Stephen Tulloch, and some role players on both teams signed, but I didn't need them. Vikings' tight end Kyle Rudolph, quarterback Sage Rosenfals, linebacker Chad Greenway, quarterback Christian Ponder, linebacker E.J. Henderson, and tight end Visanthe Shiancoe ignored. Only got Vikings' running back Toby Gerhart to sign for me.

Thrilling game that saw the Lions almost coughed one up, but glad to see them pick up the victory. After the game, waited out by where the Vikings' team buses were parked to see if I could get anybody to sign. Some of the role players and punter Chris Kluwe came over to sign, but I didn't get them. Vikings' assistant coach Mike Singletary wandered close by, no one called him over, so he walked over to board the bus, that's when people started calling for him (I've forgotten to bring something for him). The only player I was waiting for and who did not disappoint was running back Adrian Peterson. Adrian looked hesitant, as if he was going to board the bus at first, but came right over to sign. Of course, it was a mad house when he came over, but I made my way in and got my mini-helmet signed by him. Adrian smeared his auto on the mini a little bit, but I have no problem with that. I'm just glad that I finally got him, as I've been a fan of him since his days at OU, and this will definitely be going into my PC.
