SPGU a flop?

So from the breaks I've seen of SPGU, it looks like the majority of them don't even come close to being worth the price. The jersey's are mostly dollar bin items, and although you could get a nice hit, it's usually only one per box. For a $180 box, is this set worth it or did UD miss the boat on this one?

I just added what I consider to be the 2nd best card in my collection, from a single I picked up from SPGU on eBay...... can't wait to have it arrive.

There are some CRAZY hits out there.

This product is always like this though. High risk / high reward. I wouldn't buy a box of it... but love the singles.

Not even high reward, there are very few hits that will get you a box price back.

I don't want to pretend it's not high risk/High reward, but I made money on my one box, and it didn't have a HUGE hit in it, was just solid all around. It's a similar product every year. People love to break it because it is a fun box to open. Yea you can get skunked pretty good, but the thrill of a supreme pads or 8 patch or By the letter ect.. is exciting enough to have it sell pretty well.

It's a hit-or-miss product, and a very extreme one at that. I'd say that even if you get some of the nicest cards from SPGU in a box, you're barely covering box costs.

wow i just saw a 5 player patch card with gretzky in a crazy 3 color oilers, with lemiuex, yzerman, sakic that went for a littler over 200$ only.. wow thats just covering 1 box... seems the value back is really low.

This product is junk. The first 3 boxes I saw busted online yielded 17 jerseys and ONE auto that would sell for maybe $20 if that. Cheap design, awful value in return. Why is this product still around? Bring back Trilogy!!!!

my least favorite product of the year. The design is just plain awful.
