Good luck with that...
It would be nice, but I don't think a collector will ever get for their collection what they put into it.Last edited by Leafsman; 05-23-2014 at 12:32 PM.

If they were to lower the print run they would add more players to the checklist. Who do you think they will add? 2 versions of Mackinnon? No they will be adding lower tier rookies not worth much more than $1 or $2.
SPA FWA Rookies sell the best of any of the rookies not named the cup. They sell almost as high as the Ultimate Rookie Autos /299 in Ultimate Collection. Why would you want anything to change? Its the most collected set other UD1. Lowering the rookies to /799 would not change the price much if any.Flickr: Hidden Content

I'd sell 1000 $2 autos and be very happy. In fact 80% of the cards I own right now are probably $2 autos, ha. Check my sale thread.

Worth it for what? Its SPA. Rarely does it fall below cost. The wax will not lose its value. Long term, as with everything, there are diminishing returns with the cards. What do you really want to know about a case of SPA?

I want to know if I have a bad case how big of a hit I will take. If I buy a case for $1,200 how bad could it be if I am ice cold. I am fine with taking a loss but tend to shy away from products where I can get throttled.

Are you keeping anything or selling everything?

keeping some and selling some off. PC will keep and submit to PSA if the card warrants a submission. The base will be sold in lots on the bay.

Very little of it will be sold on eBay, because almost nobody will buy it (I do regular searches for particular players, and I see the same 10 card Oilers base lots circulating from 11-12 and 12-13 SPA every few weeks, that I have for the last year, two years, etc).
To answer the question: The base, outside of a set or two you MIGHT be able to get $20 + s/h for.... it's not going anywhere.
The hits?? It's really luck of the draw. I would imagine most cases don't get their money back.... but so long as you're selling the first week, or so, after the release (to max the value of your FW autos) you should be able to get at least half you money back.
