My interest in Klingberg went way down yesterday when I found him sitting on page 1 of the worst plus/minus players in the whole league this year, at -16. No thanks.

Nylander has developed nicely ever since coming into the NHL and scoring goals is the hardest thing to do in hockey and he is a legit 30 goal scorer now. However, he doesn't do much else but score points. I would like to see Keefe try Willy on the PK with Marner, but Kampf et al do a really good job already, so that's not likely to happen. I remember the days were Willy just wouldn't try on the defensive and to see his game grow as much as it has over the years is really nice to see. No one will want Muzzin now, so if the Leafs are to make a splash, like u said they would have to move Willy or Marner and that just isn't likely to happen.

But the guy sitting at #1 on that list, at -29, is going to bring Arizona a windfall in the next few weeks.
Plus minus isn't always telling. How Klingberg is deployed (often gets defensive zone starts? plays vs other team's top guys, plays with his own weaker teammates a lot?) can have a lot to do with it too.
I don't watch enough Dallas to have a real strong opinion though. He's another one though - if Dallas really does want to move him, bet they get a lot for him. Lilegren, Robertson, & a 1st type package.

I took a quick look at Dallas's roster and they are filled with a team with minus players. The one thing that stood out for me is how Pavelski continues to light it up. He is on the last year of his deal I believe so what Dallas does with him might be the bigger topic of conversation in the coming weeks. The West in the NHL is top heavy with the avs and knights comfortably ahead in their respected divisions and dallas currently holds one of the two wild cards spots with he wild. There are a bunch of teams in the mix for that second spot, but dallas might be willing to rebuild since they have some good young pieces like Robertson who has had a very good sophomore season. Maybe they can unload Seguin too who has been a pretty big disappointment this year.

Sandin better start wearing a scarf
he is gonna catch a cold with all the players going around him
somebody outta tell him he is a defenseman
of course he isnt really a d-man
get rid of him Shanny
trade him for a real d-man

sandin does have some todd gill moments, but i believe he deserves a chance. another nail biter of a win and one thing for sure is that campbell seems tired so hopefully keefe finds out a way to share the goaltending load with mrazek.

Another Blown lead for the Leafs!! We were fortunate to win that game!!
I also like that Boqvist kid in Columbus. Yep, another smallish Swedish D-Man but hey, this guy actually plays defense & he can score too..
Holl had a much better game last night & i think the best thing that could have happened yesterday happened. Liljegren got hurt. I'm sorry for all you Sandin & Liljegren fans out there but both these guys are horrible defensively & i dont see them getting any better any time soon.

Both Benn & Seguin are having off years but Dallas was just in the Finals a few years back. They have some good young talent to go with those guys like Hintz, Gurianov & Robertson & they also have Heiskanen, Lindell on the Blue Line to add to that mix.
Lindell would be another guy that i would like to see the Leafs go after

Also, im not too sure what Keefe is thinking in regards to changing the Lines around, Nylander on the 3rd line, but our problem isnt scoring Goals, its keeping the lead & the puck out of our net. I like that he put Marner with Tavares though, we need him scoring & for 10 million he should be better than a point per game player.. I would like to see Nylander back with Matthews too. No offense to Kase & Bunting, they are both having good years, but Matthews needs somebody good to play with & he & Nylander have good chemistry together.
I just read that the Leafs are talking to Philly about getting Giroux & Braun. I would be ok with that but clearly Giroux would just be a rental for the Playoffs. We couldnt afford his 8 Million contract without Philly eating some of it. If we got Giroux that would put us up there with teams like Colorado or Florida. I like this deal but only if we can get it done..

Giroux is still productive at his age, but what will the cost be? He would be a rental unless u get rid of the guys we have been talking about such as Nylander or Marner which obviously would not be a good move, but if we can get it done for a Robertson package that might be viable. Philly is a complete disaster this year with two ten game losing streaks and their fans are the worst. Even when things are going good, the nit pick at the smallest things and quite honestly I would not want any player to play there. TERRIBLE. If Giroux and whoever else on Philly has had enough of that and can be had on the cheap, Leafs or other teams should pay attention for any sort of fire sale.
