Heck of a way for the Refs to blow a great Debut by Eric Kallgren after coming in down 4-1 & holding down the Fort. That was clearly a Penalty on Chychrun that led to the kid getting his first NHL loss. He had no chance on that shot. Sad way to lose your Debut
We got a point we clearly didnt deserve at least.
That start by Mrazek was horrendous. I dont even know what to say about the first 2 goals he allowed!! Pee Wee League stuff!! I know the 3nd goal went off Liljegren's knee & in the net but Mrazek was still on the other side of the net looking the other way. He had no clue where that puck was. & the 4th goal hit the crossbar & went in but it was in the middle of the net, mrazek wasnt in the right spot, like the 1st goal he overplayed the shot. With Campbell out 2 weeks this is very concerning now!! Obviously we cant count on Mrazek, he's been horrible since the start. He only has that many wins because the Leafs score alot of goals when he's in. I believe i heard the commentators tonight say he has allowed at least 3 goals in every start this season. So, who de we have? Carter Hutton? Can he win some games for us? Joseph Woll? He's won 3 for us this year? Or Eric Kallgren? A guy who made his Debut tonight & got robbed of his first career win! We also have Michael Hutchinson too who won some big games for us a couple years back down the stretch.
Makes you think the Leafs are going to have to get a Goalie now cause who knows what Jack Campbell we're going to get back in 2 weeks. Lets hope this rest does him some good.

Let's look back to last off season. The Leaf's signed Mrazek, Kampf and Bunting and Kampf and Bunting have been two of our more consistent players. Kase has also been a bargain so the only stinker is Mrazek. 3 out of 4 aint bad no matter how bad Mrazek has been. My thoughts are the leafs are going to do whatever they can to trade him at the deadline and use what they have in the minors as a back up b/c even Hutch has been better for us as a back up and I thought he was horrendous.

The kid looked good in net and that non call against Matthews was i don't know. As bad as the non call against Ovi the other day? Bottom line is that the Leafs did not deserve to win once again and their offence almost let them off the hook. Again. The only good thing going for this team over the past month or so is that they can score. I don't even remember the last time they played a full, complete game of d and o that I was happy as a Leafs fan to watch.

This tells me something about their leadership group too. No team with this much talent should go into these kinds of slumps. It's inexcusable. So J.T, Keefe, someone needs to step up and motivate the team some how to be better.

Yeah, that Call, or Non Call was horrible, The last game i remember the Leafs playing a solid game from start to finish was about a month ago when we beat Carolina 4-1 i believe. We beat Pittsburgh that same week pretty handily too.

Maybe the Leafs should take a good hard look at Tampa Bay. I think its was 2016 they went to the Finals & lost. The next couple years they were good but not as good as 2016. I think when they made that trade where they absolutely fleeced Montreal, (Sergachev for Drouin!! Lol, i still laugh at that trade) is where things started to change for them. They solidified they're D & in 2019 they added some toughness & now they are back to back champs!! I think we are just as good as them, maybe better at the forward position but, they are way better Defensively that we are & they're Goalie is World Class!! We have some catching up to do in those 2 areas for sure!! I think the Leafs should do the same as Tampa did, swap Nylander for a Top notch D-Man. We can still win with Matthews, Marner & Tavares & the way Bunting, Kerfoot & the rest of the guys are playing i think we will be fine without Nylander. 6.5 Million for 25 Goals doesnt seem justifiable to me & the fact that some games he just floats around the ice doing nothing makes it even worse. I believe had we traded Nylander to Carolina the year he held out on the Leafs we would already be a Contender if not a Champion. They were offering us Jakob Slavin, Brett Pesce or Noah Hanifin for him. We could have got 2 of those guys who are all Solid D-Men that we could use. Makes me shake my head!!

Maybe today is the day Dubas pulls his head out of his rear end & makes a deal. I keep hearing Kerfoot's name in Trade talks too. Please dont trade him, his contract is more than affordable & he is good both defensively & offensively, whereas Nylander is good offensively when he wants to be & not nearly as good Defensively. Dubas wont trade Nylander though, he made him a Promise when he signed his contract so we will probably just end up losing him in the Off Season when his contract expires like we did with Zack Hyman. I knew he wouldnt be signing with the Leafs cause we couldnt afford him but we got nothing back in return. I thought the Leafs should have traded him before last years Playoffs & at least get a player back in return. We could have got a pretty good player for Hyman at that. Makes you wonder what Dubas is thinking.

I don't see the Leafs sinking away from the 3rd seed since the teams below them have their problems too and have not been playing all that great either. That is the Leafs saving grace. Through their struggles they have continued to win this year and teams around them have continued to lose. It's just the teams ahead of them continue to win and play like the elite teams they are. The ultimate tease as the Leafs have always been. Good enough to make the die hard leafs fan believe at a cup run, but never good enough to even come close.

TSN earlier was showing the stats of the goalies that are available and none of them are that impressive at all and will take a pretty penny to get them. Fleury is the only one that makes sense since he has a winning pedigree, but he will most likely cost a robertson and a first rounder and that is just too much for a guy at the end of his career.

Wish they would start the rookie they called up and filled in for Marazek when he crapped his pants. Kallgren? Who knows give him a shot to run with it maybe you get something half as good as when the Habs put Dryden in.. Can not be any worse than Marazek.

The guy they should be starting will be signing at the upcoming Edmonton Expo. He probably still has that Leafs mask ready to go.
