I know how you feel man, I'm more of a low-end collector myself, the main focus of my collection are Rookies. I also try to get all the base from my teams that are released. I do have a few jersey cards, but they aren't near high end, just the ones you can get for 50 cents plus shipping on Ebay. It kills me when I start a topic saying I'm looking for a certain players rookie cards, and everyone sends me messages saying they have a 100 dollar rookie patch/auto/jock strap card, and they are asking me what patch cards I have of Tom Brady and Joe Montana and all these big names. I'm 15, so I don't have money to buy 200 dollar boxes just so I can take a stab at getting an Adrian Peterson card and end up with what everyone else will consider garbage. It also kills me when you see these box breaks on Youtube, and guys spend 250 bucks on a pack of cards with 5 cards, and they get 5 jerseys/autos and they complain about it being a bad box cause they didn't get any big names. In my case, if I buy a pack of Topps Total for 99 cents and get a base card of a Cleveland player or any rookies, I'm excited. Its kinda a shame the hobby is like that now, a lot of people won't even consider trading with you if you don't have any jerseys or autos.

Exactly. I actually just got done NOT making a trade with a guy because he said "how have you made 500 trades, you don't have anything". He didn't get the point that NOT everything I had was for trade, I mentioned that I also collected Prince Fielder and Ryan Braun (the two baseball guys he wanted). People like him are why I'm not trading here anymore.

Also, I get where you're coming from on the money issues, I'm 16 and I almost never have anything to spend on $5+ per-pack cards. And I agree with the "if you don't have any GU or Autos, no trading, sorry!" theory, I don't have any GU or Autos FT right now, which is probably why I can't make a trade to save my life on here. If I buy a $2 pack of Topps and I get a Cubs guy I like or just anyone I like in general, I'm satisfied.

I'm 19, and don't have the money to buy much period! And I'm also esstatic to pull a Kevin Garnett card....especially if it's one I don't have! My PC of him is 95% or more base....and I like it!

I have a few GU/autos, but the highest BV one is a Lebron $30....pulled it from a $3 retail pack! Yep, a $3 retail pack! :-)....alot of people ask "do you have a GU tradelist?" and I wanna say "*&@^* NO! I can't afford to trade them!"

Yep, I've also had numerous people ask if I had a GU tradelist, and numerous times I've had to say no.

i find it tough to trade and buy here sometimes too.everybody is after my mj gu if i make a thread.thats my best card,$80.i would trade it if its a good deal in my eyes.also most people here seem to be into the newer products and gu and auto, patches.me personally i collect rookies and inserts mainly.especially pre 99/00.only draft class in the recent years that i liked was 05/06.

well im mostly a low end trader also.my card avg value is $10?.

if i had 100 to spend on boxes i most likely break it in to 2 boxes or more.max i ever spent on a box was $70.

i collect mj,lj,kb,kg.biggest one my kg collection.

That would be cool. I would be in it, I actually like moving lower end stuff in trades to improve my Colts RC's.

I am mainly a High-end collector but I totally agree with the profit thing. I dont trade to make money, I trade for cards that I find attractive (ie. multicolor patches, unique cards, hard to find stuff.) I agree that too many people are in this for the money but im also saying that not all high-end collectors are in it for the money.

My trading has also gone down a lot, but you can still make low end deals on here. I don't have any GU or auto cards for trade right now either; I've traded them all for PC stuff. Right now, my primary focus is completing my sets. I completed the 94-95 Stadium Club basketball set (362 cards) primarily with help from SCFers.

In all, I think I have 12-15 GU and 6-8 autos....and no, they are NOT FOR TRADE! lol

Low-end traders group would be cool, except I rarely visit the groups section....I created a group and haven't visited it in a week or 2...lol

I have a total of one g/u in my collection. Granted i quit for like 10 years but i am definately a low end trader. I'll happily complete base sets and pick up cards for my pc for cheap because no one wants them. If you guys do a low end traders group i want in.
