    Well, Billups is 32 and the Nuggets have him for 4 years and Iverson is 33 while this is his final year of his contract.

    I have to disagree with Nuggets getting the better end of the deal. With Martin, Anthony, Nene, JR Smith, Billups, and maybe Kleiza (with this being a contract year for him) making $10 million+ a year, that's 7 players and Denver is already WAY over the salary cap. Denver has been trying to get something for Iverson's contract, but it looks like the Nuggets are in financial hell right now. Why the Nuggets offered to take this offer is beyond me.

    I still believe that Billups is one of the most underrated player in the NBA with his ballhandling, leadership and clutch ability, but Iverson is definitely one of the best at his size and position.

    Honestly, I'm not sure how it will work in Detroit, but getting rid of a 4-year contract of a player on the decline and a big man who'll retire in 1-2 years, for $21 million off the books is just a steal. I don't know what Dumars did to get this opportunity, but this man is a genius, with a few missteps.

    $88 million payroll this season:
    * AI
    * JR
    * Melo
    * KMart
    * Camby
    Bench - Kleiza, Nene, AC

    $71 million payroll this season:
    * Chauncey
    * JR
    * Melo
    * KMart
    * Nene
    Bench - Kleiza, AC, Balkman/Birdman

    Nuggets get 17 million dollars under off this trade this season.

    I really don't see why Detroit did this. I kind of see why Denver did this. Confusing trade all around, but we'll see.

    That doesn't really make sense, since trades have to work financially, so Denver needs get $21 million in return for Iverson, so they should be where they were WITH Iverson.

    How could you not see why the Pistons did this? They needed a big name player who can shoot the ball. All you Nuggets fans think your getting an All-Star PG, but your really not. Billups today isnt the same as 2004. He is A lot worse at many things. He doesnt drive in the lane anymore, his shot has gone down. The pistons got a steal imo. if A.I. doesnt work out, they have 20 mil to work with. But i think A.I. will try harder then ever now that he's with the Pistons. This is his one TRUE shot at winning a title with an experienced team. I wish the best to chauncey though. and the thing with McDyess, my hope is that the Nuggets buy out his contract and the Pistons pick him back up in free agency :)

    They're going to buy out McDyess and Billups is making 11.050 million.
