exactly....but luongo has already proven to be a non-factor in the hawks series with a ton of weak goals.

First of all....you mention IF the Wings beat the Sucks...yet you went on to say 100% go to the finals......so does that mean you are not sure they can beat an 8th seeded team that barely made the playoffs vs a team that has played consistantly throughout the season and have shown they are for real in the playoffs.....
The Bulin Wall has won a Cup on a a mediocre team in Tampa....He has a lot better line-up in front of him now.....I say it is not 100% guarantee the Wings coast through the West Finals....and I AM already counting Wings in the West Finals....not IF
Chicago found a way to get by Luongo, they will have no problem against Osgood - Datsyuk needs to show up in this playoffs (4pts in 9 games) and show why he was nominated a NHL MVP if they want to 100% go to the Finals....
BTW - If Ovechkin doesnt win the MVP for the season (and playoffs for that matter), there is something wrong with the system....

OMG...please get it through your head that Roberto Luongo is the most overhyped nothing goalie in the league who has nothing to show for any of his play. Osgood is easily one of the top goalies in the league...and if you say he stinks because his regular season numbers stinks, then yes your correct...but the reality is that only postseason play matters...and thats when Ozzy heats up and shuts down the other team.
Secondly...just look at the numbers. Detroit + Anaheim combined have something like 38-40 stanley cup rings and the Chicago/Vancouver series had like 2-3. Only Detroit and Anaheim know how to truly play playoff hockey and these other scrubs are just kidding themselves. Anaheim is a great team with a lot of horses...granted they play diry. They just dont quite have the depth and talent of detroit. Chicago has no experience and is just a bunch of young guns riding this magical wave until they come crashing into this wall known as THE BIG RED MACHINE. nuff said

Dead serious..Ozzy is so underrated because everyone attributes ALL if his success to the team in front of him. Roberto has shown me that he plays his best games when it counts for nothing and falls apart like a house of cards when there's the slightest bit of pressure. History doesnt lie.

lmao. wow. this is just sad. i'm guessing you'd rather have franzen over crosby or ovechkin too huh? really. i dont get how you think ozzy is better than luongo. so what luongo hasn't won a cup. he spent years in florida where he really had no team. vancouver is still coming into their own with some young players. detroit has guys like chelios who is older than father time, lidstrom who is the best d man in the league, datsyuk who is a top 5 forward in the league, rafalski who has so much cup history, zetterberg who is a beast, and a pretty good lineup in between. who does vancouver have? Sundin? he's way past his prime. and yes i accredit ALL of osgoods success to the team in front of him

First off - 12 goals against in 5 games is not really shutting down Anaheim....they are only up 3-2 in the series by luck....they shut down Columbus....WHOOP DEE DOO...and they havent really shut down Anaheim....
and if you think only Anaheim is playing dirty, you need to take off those glasses with the wings on the side and watch the games...its both....
Both teams have been running into the other goalie...THAT has been very easy to see.
As for Chicago....well not much Cup experience there we can all see and agree....but I would not count them out.....Tampa won without a lot of experience as did Carolina....it happens.....not all teams choke like Columbus....if you really count that as a huge victory....
and going back to the Red Door or whatever you call Osgood....check out his playoff stats when NOT with Detroit.....
2001-2002 Islanders 7 3 4 - .912 2.60 392 - uhhh first round loss
2002-2003 Blues 7 3 4 - .907 2.44 417 - uhhh first round loss
2003-2004 Blues 5 1 4 - .890 2.51 287 - uhhh first round loss
He is not as good as your rose color glasses show you....Detroit (the team in front of Osgood) is saving his behind.....Detroit would be winning just the same with Ty Conklin in net....and you can take that to the bank

Just trying to enjoy the playoffs.
Cnshockey,
If you listened to the game they played Ozzy made some key saves. That one he snapped out of the air when not seeing anything for like 9 minutes. As the announcer said people do not understand how hard it is to be ready when you don't see any action then you must be prepared when it comes.
Also, you mention that Roberto has had a bad team in Florida. Where they any worse than the Blues or the Islanders. If you want to share facts please share them all as Ozzy did just alright with those team. Like Roberto he didn't take them to the Cup so I think that argument is moot. Who would I choose I would say Roberto. But the thing is Ozzy been there done that and he been sent packing, rode the pine, and he just a Class act guy who happens to be one of the all time winningest goalies. I would take that kind of person on my team any day. If he would have stayed in Detroit would his stats even be padded that much more?
