I stopped taking Beckett seriously when I saw how they listed Black Diamond Premier Die-Cuts. 30 bucks on average? Good luck getting more than 3 bucks for most of them.

yea i was surprised myself at the 05-06 rookie threads, mainly cause i have lundqvist lol. some other sets from that year jumped up too though, like mvp and parkhurst, and not just lundqvist either, like multiple rookies. found that odd

mugmasher - apparently you did not read that I said OPG (Online Price Guide). If it is in print, the data is at least one to two months old.
edthesandwich - from what I find relating to Beckett pricing is they based the BVs on the initial sales from card dealers and the first month of online sale (ie.: eBay). Inserts tend to devalue up to 75% of the initial value I find, especially if they are over a year ago. So if the Beckett is 30.00 high (meaning 12.00 low/cash value), it's about 3.00 cash relatively later on, which is not a surprise.
jagrnyr68 - I wish Beckett had a better audit of their OPG since I keep finding either messed up prices or subsets they still did not give pricing to that are not even SP or low print runs.
Still the best error on OPG hockey that I remember seeing over a year ago that is still there is the 2005-06 UD YG #472 - Barry Tallackson, supposed valued at 10.00-25.00.
I use Beckett mainly to get the feel for the BVs, although there are some that I know are not accurate. At the same time, I would not trust the final values on some eBay auctions unless there where at least 3-5 auctions of the same item due to crazy bidders or schill-bidding.

Dont get me wrong - not saying he sucks or anything - far from it, just saying Kopitar has done more in the same time frame....and that West coast players dont get as much love in the Hobby as East coast/Canadian teams do...
