Former NBA player and current Detroit Pistons' radio color commentator, Rick Mahorn, made an appearance for the grand opening of the Kmart store out in Rochester, MI. Got Rick to sign both of my trading cards for me and also a cheaply made promo photo hand out for my uncle.

Interesting about Josh Smith. I got him 2 years ago, and he went out of his way to sign all my cards when I only asked for 1. And he took pics with my wife. I guess it depends on his mood.
Too bad Dominique didn't make the trip. Do you know if he signs?

Hit up the Atlanta Hawks' hotel for some graphing after work today. There were only a total of 4 graphers there. Got the following to sign for me as they boarded the bus to the game at the Palace:

Joe Johnson - 1/1 trading card

Zaza Pachulia - 1/1 trading card

head coach Larry Drew - 1/1 trading card


Had cards for the following, but they didn't sign:


assistant coach Tyrone Hill - 0/1 (already boarded the bus when I arrived there)

Al Horford - 0/1 (ignored request as he got on the bus)

Mike Bibby - 0/1 (used the old busy-on-cell phone trick to get on the bus)

assistant coach Lester Conner - 0/1 (missed him as I was getting Joe)

Josh Smith - 0/1 (came out with his head phones on and ignored the 4 of us)


Richard Delk and Ricardo Marsh signed, but I didn't get them. Nobody needed Jordan Crawford, Josh Powell, or Pape Sy. Jason Collins, Jeff Teague, Maurice Evans, Jamal Crawford, Marvin Williams, and Hawks' Vice President of Basketball Dominique Wilkins didn't make the trip.

Yeah, it depends on his mood. I've gotten Josh Smith before and I heard he's usually good for 2 per person. As for Dominique, he will sign, but will only sign one item per person.

Rodney Carney - 0/1 (ignored requests)


Ekpe Udoh, Jeff Adrien, and Andris Biedrins signed, but I didn't get them.

Attended the "Lions Review" local sports talk radio show hosted by the radio voice of the Lions Dan Miller and Lions' wide receiver Nate Burleson at the Hard Rock Cafe in downtown Detroit. There were more traffic than usual there with loads of dealers showing up since it was also the launch of the Detroit Lions' annual pet calendar to benefit the Dearborn Animal Shelter. Purchased a calendar which allowed me to get one additional item signed. Got the following players involved in the calendar, who showed up to sign:

Shaun Hill - 1/1 calendar, 1/1 mini football




Drew Stanton - 1/1 calendar, 1/1 trading card


Jahvid Best - 1/1 calendar, 1/1 trading card


Louis Delmas - 1/1 calendar, 1/1 trading card


Andre Fluellen - 1/1 calendar, 1/1 trading card


Brandon Pettigrew - 1/1 calendar, 1/1 trading card


Also got radio show co-host, Nate Burleson, on a 8 x 10 photo




Additional autographs after the 1 outside item for the participants in the calendar signing was only $5. Wish I would of know that ahead of time, would of probably brought a mini-helmet and 16 x 20 to get signed by Jahvid.

Nope, only those players listed above showed up. Stafford is in the calendar, but was not listed on the Lions' website for the appearance. Jerome Felton and Zack Follett were listed, but both of them didn't show up.

Detroit Lions' linebacker, Caleb Campbell, made an appearance for the Verizon Wireless store out in Allen Park, MI today. Got Caleb to sign my trading card and his Photofile 8 x 10 photo he was handing out.


Then immediately afterwards, drove out to the Verizon Wireless store out in St. Clair Shores, where former NFL player Luther Elliss was making an appearance there. Didn't have anything for Luther to sign, so got him to sign one of his Photofile photo he was handing out for me.
