Don Zimmer
Happy to get this baseball legend. I have a thing for the old Brooklyn Dodgers so wanted to get him in the Brooklyn uniform. Now if I could only get that Koufax guy to sign ttm! Haha. I grew up watching Zimmerman as Joe Torre's right hand man on all those dominant Yankees teams in the late 90s and early 2000s. this guy has seen and done it all.

Minnie Minoso
Baseball's Seven Decade Man! From Minnie's wikipedia page: "He is one of just two players in Major League history to play in five separate decades (1940s-1980s), the other being Nick Altrock. With brief appearances with the independent Northern League's St. Paul Saints in 1993 and 2003, Mińoso is the only player to have played professionally in seven different decades." I believe Minnie is also the oldest living player who played in MLB in the 1940s. 9x All Star, 3x Gold Glove, Negro League superstar, Chicago White Sox superstar...
I sent two 8x10s and a $20 donation. He sent a note back asking to use instructions at his website, www.minoso.com, for future autograph requests "to ensure your items get handled and processed properly."

(for some reason my scanner wasn't scanning black and white well, so this photo looks a little dark and hard to see, the actual photo looks a little better)

Thank you very much! Glad you're enjoying my successes. So am I, haha.
At the beginning I was actually buying a lot of the photos. If you look around eBay you can find a lot of rare and nice photos around 4 or 5 bucks each, but you have to pay shipping too and it gets to be a hassle. Once I really got back into TTMing I realized that a lot of people on these forums were printing their own. So now I print most of my own too. You can usually find awesome hi-res photos in google searches. Then I print them at AdoramaPix.com. They have a flat shipping fee so print a bunch at a time, otherwise you're paying like 6 bucks for shipping for just a couple photos. Their quality is excellent and the photos always arrive very quickly. (I just placed an order last night for like ten photos).
You can always use your local photo shops or CVS too, but I find the quality is much better from Adorama, and it's cheaper too.
If there are any photos you want pm me and I'm happy to share the files if I have them. Other people on this board have helped me out... Pay it forward!

Well this is pretty interesting. We all know Bart Starr charges for signing TTM. However it's a fee that gets donated directly to the Rawhide Boys Ranch, a home for troubled young boys. So I sent the fee and Bart signed beautifully with the inscriptions I requested. In my letter, I mentioned that I was happy to donate in exchange for his autograph because he's doing such great work, changing boys' lives, etc. About a week after my 8x10 came back signed I receive a form letter and pamphlet from the Boys Ranch telling me about what they do, thanking me, etc.
Then yesterday, about three weeks after receiving my TTM, I get this letter from Starr Enterprises on really nice letterhead with a gold embossed emblem at the top. At first I thought it was another form letter with a printed signature, but upon closer inspection it is evident that the "Bart" is actually signed with a pen. Pretty cool to receive an extra signature, even if it's just his first name on a letter.
Has anyone else who has gotten Starr TTM received one of these "thank you" letters? Riggs? I'm thinking maybe my comments in my letter may have prompted him to send an additional thank you letter, or does he do this for everyone?

Ralph Kiner
Finally! After two RTS I tried the no-return-address trick that seems to be working for a lot of people lately with him and it worked... He signed on my third attempt. Sent an 8x10 of Ralph with Monte Irvin and a 5x7 of him with Hank Greenberg, as well as extra copies of both for him to keep and a $5 donation just to be sure. He kept the extras as offered and signed both requested photos. The 8x10 is going out to Monte Irvin tomorrow!

He kind of went off the edge a bit on this one, but I still love it.
