I know we had a discussion here about counter-offering on OBOs on ebay and I have a question for you guys.

I have a 30 OBO lot of 3 cards on ebay. I know one of the cards in the lot went for around $10 on its own before (FWA). Yesterday I got an offer of $6.50 for all three cards. Should I even bother counter-offering, or is a "low-ball" offer like this just not even worth responding to?

I think most people check prices on ebay before making offers or bidding on items, be it current listings or completed ones. I also think most sellers that have fixed prices with OBO realize that the price they've placed on their item(s) are higher than they would sell for if it were an auction style listing. With that said if i'm getting 3 cards that I need I'll pay a little more for an item to save on shipping. You probably have a price in mind that's lower than $30 that you'd like to get for the items. Counter with a price you are happy with and if the buyer isn't willing to come up to something reasonable then too bad for them. They only get 3 tries so if it's something they actually really want then they'll pay up.

    @the_nange:
I hate lowballers, but again i hate ppl that ignore offers!! I had a OPC GRETZKY RC GRADED 6,ASKING $350 obo and u wont believe the crazy lowballs i got, some guy even offered $100 for a friggin Gretzky RC!! U believe that?!!
So I usually reply to lowballers offer by countering around %5 of my asking price....

In this case, if i had it for $30obo (as u said 1 card was sold recently for $10) and got an offer of $6.50 i would counter at $29!! That way atleast u replied to the offer and kinda hint the person that if u lowball this is the counter u get ;)

    Goodluck.....

Haha I do that too .....

Had a card listed for $400 ..... average sales were in the $325ish range ...... someone offered me $60. So I declined. Same guy offered me $65, so I declined again. He throws his last offer in at me ..... $67.50 .... so I have to counter offer him this time.

I tried to counter offer him $999.99 ( but ebay doesnt let you counter offer above your stated auction price =P .... duh ) ..... so I did $399.99, and replied ..... "I can make stupid offers as well"

a little shilling report here :

    3 differents auctions :

look at the bidder with 55 stars :
    Bidder Information
    Bidder: o***e( 55)
    Feedback: 100%Positive
Item description: Item Title: 12-13 Upper Deck Priority Signings John Tavares /10 Autograph WOW Rare
    Bids on this item: 1
    30-Day Summary
    Total bids: 12
    Items bid on: 7
Bid activity (%) with this seller: 91%
    Bid retractions: 0
    Bid retractions (6 months): 0

I found the user name of the 55 stars user in the seller feedbacks :
    http://feedback.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback2&ftab=AllFeedback&useri d=tennisjpion&iid=-1&de=off&interval=0&items=100

Looks like they exchange a lot of cards to each others! And a lot of cards won by 55 stars users were resold later.

?? about eBay Store: Listings vs Inventory

I've been considering setting up an eBay store and the "basic" store listing provides 150 free listings per month. The question I have is about these free listings versus a stores inventory.

Are store inventory and auction listings the same thing?

Can I list 150 free items per month in addition to having thousands of cards in my store inventory?
Or does everything added to my store inventory count as a listing?

    Any advice would be appreciated.

Can someone help me out with an eBay auction? I will make it worth your while!

There is a lot of 7 OPC Blank Backs and Hjalmarsson is in it. However, I am unable to purchase the lot. The lot is $25 shipped. I am willing to pay $15 for the Hjalmarsson...you can certainly make more than $10 for the other 6! If you can help me out, post or PM me! Thanks a lot!
