The seller of these auctions is an active member on a number of hobby sites and has an impeccable reputation. I seriously doubt that there is anything fishy going on as you allege. Perhaps you should do some research before you start badmouthing people.

Maybe it's the 4 hours sleep last night talking, but why would he intentionally do this to himself? The final-value fees for cards that don't actually sell would add up after a while, no?

I agree the fees for shill bidding would be insane on Fee-bay. I have not dealt with this selling before but I would say he is legit. I mean if guys went to my ebay page they would see what some collectors would call junk cards but I do sell a few of these cards a month. There are collectors out there looking for these cards and not everyone is close to where card shows or shops are so they buy them on Ebay.

The thing that stood out to me was the 3 pages in a row of stuff with bids, and by "stuff" I mean........bottom-dwellers, to be charitable. But who knows? And two days before this issue came up I received a card in the mail from that very seller, and I've bought from him before repeatedly. I'm movin' on.............

I guess I had to move away from Canada to really notice how some Canadians completely overreact in regard to everything. A fella makes a simple statement, then all of a sudden the sky is falling in somebody else's world.

Look at the bids, the current high bidder (1100 FB): 63 Bids on 47 items all from this particular seller and then the other bidder with 36 FB has 111 bids on 68 items again all from the same seller.

Maybe you should have said something to that effect in the first place instead of your this looks fishy comment which clearly is calling the seller out as doing something wrong. When I see a good hobby friend with a perfect reputation being unfairly accused of bad practices, I will always step in and defend them. You obviously didn't do a lot of research beyond checking what was selling. In the future, you should look at bidding activity, etc. before making a false accusation. Anyone familiar with me knows I do not start flaming wars and am not confrontational on the boards.
