lolol
see my post right above yours Sarah
by the way: are you a Couch fan even if he's traded away?
I used to be a HUGE HUGE HUGE 49ers fan
then they got rid of Montana...got rid of Ronnie Lott...and then did the ultimate backslap to my face with getting rid of Jerry Rice
All Hall of Famers, all with a pivotal role in making the Niners the organization they've become (from perennial losers to 5-time world champions, without a defeat)
Since then, I've lost a bit of interest in the Niners, and follow the Raiders more closely b/c of Rice.
FYI: Since being released by the Niners, who thought Rice was done, Jerry has caught more passes for more yards than Hall of Famer Lynn Swann
interesting stat, eh??

Pod I'm a Couch fan for life & I bet Sarah is also :D
Holcomb played a great game and i give him credit but if you watched the game you would know why........
The Arizona Cardinals are awful!!!!!!!!
With Arizona's Weak Defense the OC for the Browns finally opened up the passing game a lot :D - Which is what he has needed to do all year long no matter who is QB - You have to take chances and throw the ball more than 8 yards to win!!
The fact is Holcomb is Butch Davis's guy and if Holcomb throws 20 strait Int's he will still play and Most Browns Fans will keep trusting BD's Gut.......
I Hope when Couch is gone next year (Which I am pretty sure he will go to start for another team) "Lots of Teams interested & Lots of talk already" ~ Browns fans can Remember the Kentucky Gun Slinger who took the reigns under the Awful and Ugly 99 Expansion browns and made them a threat because he was a true warrior who would not quit.
Look at Couch's Comeback wins and you will compair it with only one person Pod (John Elway) The only Diff. is Couch had almost no help untill late last year when William Green started running the ball.
Put Couch in a Offense where the line doesnt get killed on every play and give him a Decent RB and allow him to run the show & Stick him in a offense Scheme that dont change every year & He will put up record numbers....like John Elway

don't worry.....
Baltimore could use Couch right NOW...if they have any aspirations of making it to the playoffs. That is still one hell of an defense, but the QBs for Ravens are pathetic
think about this:
the only times other teams score on the Ravens is when the Ravens offense turns the ball over deep in Ravens territory.
Very rarely do you see teams drive 80 yards for a score (TD or FG) on the Ravens
Put Couch on the Ravens!

NOOOOOO!!!!!!!! ANYONE BUT THE RAVENS AND THE STEELERS!!!!!!!!!!
pod - to answer your question,Couch changing teams won't make me any less of a fan...though it will give me less of a reason to head to Training Camp next year.
dwain - you are so right,Kelly Holcomb could throw for 10 yards, rush for -20 yards, get sacked 5 times, and throw for 10 INT's and Butch Davis would still put him in.Why?Because Butch has an ego the size of the state of California. The problem with our offense lies in the hands of one man...Bruce Arians. The Sunday paper had a good article about all the tension in the locker room going on because of Davis,Arians, and Holcomb. And a good point was brought up...why is Bruce Arians even an offensive coordinator in the first place? He never even held the position until he came here in '01,therefore that gives him no right to believe he can do the job better than someone who has actual experience. He's worthless in my opinion.
Hey...how about we draft Craig Krenzel ;) LOL

hmm...where to start,where to start...
*2 (or was it 3?) fumbles by James Jackson...he may not be William Green but you know he actually looked good until he got a case of slick fingers today...maybe we should have had crazy glue for the RB's today.
*2 fumbles by Jamel White....see above
*Jeff Faine...hm...coincidence that when he left the game everything went downhill.Granted Melvin Fowler did hold his own against his men on the D.But when Faine was in there Jackson had all day to run and was finding holes everywhere.Coincidence?I think not..
*The Defense - ahhh the one bright spot of the game...they played awesome today. But then again they usually aren't the problem in our games.Gerard Warren actually got a sack...Andra Davis played excellent as usual.Mark Word got himself a sack (was that his first on the season?I'm not sure..I think it might've been).Courtney Brown played well, didn't hear his name a lot but he got himself in there on some plays.
*WR's....can't really say much about them...it was more of a running game today.Dang if that kick return by Northcutt hadn't been negated we might have won.Noooo of course someone had to be holding.Woulda shoulda coulda....
*Kelly Holcomb....hmmm...I thought Kelly wasn't ALLOWED to have off days?I thought Kelly was supposed to be the BETTER quarterback? If my information is correct Kelly was supposed to be the GUY that WINS games for us??Am I right??Hmm..that's funny...because all I saw was a bunch of mediocre passing, several underthrown balls,MANY horrible throws. And if every INT he threw would have been caught he would have had about 13 on the day (including the ones that WERE caught).I am not pinning this loss squarely on Kelly....but he took us inside the 20 several times...and he choked.

well today couch comes in couch goes out with an injury a strained left knee and right now its 34-7 seahawks i don't really see any brownie comeback today they score on a blocked punt i'd say couch is short performance 1/3 5 yards is kind of better then kelly 18/27 153 yds 1 INT 1 fumble lost and most of all 4 sacks!
