I know the kid wasn't the greatest human to play the game and he had some problems on and off the field but I was shocked to hear his passing today........ He showed promise of a raising star only to be snuffed out much too soon..... I mourn with the Skins nation today!!! R.I.P. Sean

ever since he had his kid, he turned his life around to be a great dad, a great football player, and as you can tell by theproudestmonkey, someone that all fans love. i am a pitt. fan but i still liked sean taylor. he inspired me with his turn around and he did not at all deserve this. i pray for his family and wish them the best.
R.I.P. SEAN TAYLOR! YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN!

to all the skins fans, my condolences...
i absolutely loved the way Sean Taylor played the game, and he was easily my favorite washington redskins player & i considered him one of the best defensive players in the league!
to everybody on here...a young man has lost his life to senseless gun violence...so lets not get caught up in who said what on this board and what their intentions were...i seriously doubt anybody on here is heartless enough to badmouth the deceased.
However, when something this tragic happens, the circumstances need to be investigated so that we may learn from it, and so that sean taylors death was not in vain...
to me, i think bearfield was simply trying to express that some of the company sean may have kept may have been questionable...no person on the face of the earth is perfect, and everybody has done questionable things in the past...This being brought up is not at all discrediting sean as a human...I used to get in trouble, and when my son was born, it completely changed my life! I have no doubts that the birth of Seans daughter affected him in a similar manner...
i also don't want to speculate too much, but when somebody cuts the phone lines, and doesn't steal anything, there is really only one explanation...they went to that house with the plan of harming Sean Taylor....To me, the knife being left on the bed a week before by an intruder tells me that this was not a random act...
i have a feeling that we will never learn the true circumstances behind this murder, but my gut instinct just tells me that this was personal...

This is absolutly horrible. He was a young man who after a few run ins with the law was turning his life around. It shows us the life is precious and the things that we don't expect to happen can happen. I am very sad because he was one of my favorite players in the NFL. I still can't believe this happened.

RIP Sean Taylor - It's interesting how tragic events like this put things in perspective. I'm a die hard NY Giants fan, and 'hated' Sean Taylor until I heard of his passing today. The man was an incredible force in the defensive backfield, and his talent is of course a great loss to all Redskins and football fans. I don't really know if I'm contributing anything here - it just makes me reevaluate 'hating' players on other teams. I sincerely hope that his daughter and circle of family and friends get through this the best that they can. No matter what one's perceived 'character' is - 24 years is not long enough, and there seem to be several reports, in the media, as well as on this board that Sean had recently changed for the better. Anyway - I think I'm rambling a bit - but this has been on my mind all day and just wanted to share my thoughts. RIP Sean....
