Hey guys I'm not saying he wasn't great. It just seems that many of his career highlights have issues not discussed. The Jordan-Wilkins dunk contest in CHICAGO that Wilkins should have won. His famous last shot that has been in NIKE ads. Things like this make me think he wasn't the greatest of all time. I think the NBA helped his career along quite a bit. I want the stars of today to get the same treatment, so they have a chance to be just as great.

Rules have changed since he played - fouls are called far differently than they were back then. While I will respect your opinion, I do not agree with it at all. Jordan, IMO, was the greatest of all time, and will probably be the greatest in at least the next several years. Kobe isn't at his level. Lebron isn't either. Lebron still has a long career ahead of him, so that could change, but I don't think anyone has ever been as productive as he was.

Oh my god, have foul rules changed...for worse in my opinion. Players get called for the stupidest and smallest crap possible now. I remember Jordan/Bulls verse Detroit back in the day when they were working on their 1st ring...that Detroit team was so rough, i remember some of the stuff they got away with back then.
And Jordans last shot verse Utah was the perfect way to leave the game...the crossover, the tap on the butt and the jumper for the win. Doesnt get any better than that imo.
I agree with Garnett21...Kobe and Lebron are good, but no MJ. Jordan could do everything well. Shoot, pass, steal, defense etc...Lebron is more of just a "finisher"

I enjoy it too, although too often they end up getting personal and people get infractions. Tough to have good conversations about stuff like this!

Exactly. Someone said that if Jordan played today, he'd get to the line 40+ times.

I don't know about a tap on the butt with that shot. He totally re-directed Russell's inertia on that shot to get open.

Haha, thats so true. Could you imagine his scoring average if he played today...and screw Kobes 81 points, I think MJ could have topped that easy. I know its still a huge accomplishment to score 81...but 20 of those points were from fouls, and he took more than 40+ shots, and around 15 3's.

Hey man it's sports. Not a big deal. People should be able to converse without getting personal.

I dont know, he faked him out pretty good...already could have had a clear shot. But thats a pure veteran move with the tap on the butt. Do what you gotta do to win
Heres the vid if you want to watch again lol.

I think that Jordan is the greatest player of all time...he had mad skills in his day and i was a die-hard Bulls fan back then...but since he went to the Wizards and then retired, he seems to have lost his charm and happiness...his son goes to U of I and i have seen him at some games...very cocky and avoids EVERYONE!!!!
