Absolutely he is. The only reason people will say he isn't is because he isn't doing the things that LeBron and Wade are doing.

without a doubt he is ..probably the second best offensive player in the league behind kobe ..he has no weakness in his offensive game ..he could play defense a lil betta..but its cause of his rookie class that they compare him with ..wade already won a ring and lebron has been in the finals already ..thas the only reason there would be doubts..

I think there is a clear distinction between superstar and a star....

or at least in my mind.

Superstar = capable of leading his team to conference finals at least.

star= capable of leading his team to the playoffs.

I regard Tmac, and Melo as a star, not a superstar.

He is a really good player but thus far, not capable of leading his team to a competitor.

Melo is a class under Lebron, Kobe, Duncan and KG in my opinion.

All the guys you listed are top 50 players of all time...Plus his whole career besides this year has been in the impossible Western Confrence where you had to have teammates to make the confrence finals.

i know what your saying but put the Cavs in the West, they wouldnt make it to the Western finals or Finals in general going through the west a much tougher confrence than the East
