I know. I've been watching it. I just think if Steve Kerr had did that the refs would have called a foul. Maybe, I'm wrong.

Hey man it's sports. Not a big deal. People should be able to converse without getting personal.
My thought too, but sometimes people get too "hyped" up in the moment and say stuff that shouldn't be said...trust me, I've seen it! lol

LOL. That is so true. It's a hypothetical situation.

Yea, but like Garnett21 said the rules have changed dramatically compared to today. I dont think a ref in Utah wouldnt call a foul on MJ, just because hes MJ...but who knows, still an amazing way to end your career.

You're right. The reason I like basketball is because the athletes do amazing things that I could never do. I don't overly identify with them though, because it is not in my realm of ability. I wish people could discuss without taking things personally, since you know the athletes do not really care about the fans in the end.

WOW.
Is Jordan over-rated? This should not even be asked imo
When comparing Jordan, Kobe, or Lebron, you have to consider the fact that times have changed. During Jordan's time there was definitely not as much media and hype as there is today. So if you wanted any recognition you had better be able to impress people in more ways than one.
That's where Jordan was recognized as being on a whole nother level.
His game consisted of physical and psychological attributes.
He would pat an opponent on the back for making a shot, but then turn around and drop 30 bones on the poor guy. The guy felt good that Jordan praised him but at the same time dropped his guard and Jordan to scored at will....was Jordan playing dirty games........definitely not....he was just that d**n good.
I can go on and on, but for anyone who doubts Jordan's credibility, watch his highlights from hoopsencyclopedia on youtube and a good movie called Hoop Dreams can show you what it was like back in the early 90's for african american basketball hopefuls (this was after Jordan became popular so just keep in mind that it was even harder to get recognized in the game of basketball back then).
I've failed over and over and over again in my life and that is why I succeed. - MJ

The other thing that bother me about his early career was his dunk contest with D Wilkins in Chicago. I don't care what anybody says. Wilkins should have won that contest. Hometown bias I guess.

I dont think you can really say there is a "Best of all time" in any sport. The game that was played back when Jordan was playing is different then the game thats now and the game that was played back when Wilt played. As with all sports the game develops and changes which makes it really hard to compair one era to another.
