That's crazy talk! Everyone knows its all about the soldiers. Disrespecting the flag is like stabbing them in the heart.
I think we appreciate their sacrifice but a flag is just symbol. As I said earlier encroaching on rights and freedoms is a real slap in the face.

I totally agree. The original post was about a foreign flag, private property or not that is flying higher than the Flag of the US flag. This should not be allowed other than maybe a foreign embassy.
Anyone else have some input??

When I see someone disrespecting the U.S. Flag I do want to do bodily harm to them. Plenty of my fellows think the same way and for those who haven't experienced certain things don't understand.
So many of those who complain, would never join or better yet aren't allowed to join the military. And for those who think they can change the military from the inside, don't bother coming in you would not like it and it would be a waste of your and my time.
UNITED STATES CODE/TITLE 36/CHAPTER 10:
175. Position and manner of display
(c) No other flag or pennant should be placed above or, if on the same level, to the right of the flag of the United States of America, except during church services conducted by naval chaplains at sea, when the church pennant may be flown above the flag during church services for the personnel of the Navy. No person shall display the flag of the United Nations or any other national or international flag equal, above, or in a position of superior prominence or honor to, or in place of, the flag of the United States at any place within the United States or any Territory or possession thereof: Provided, That nothing in this section shall make unlawful the continuance of the practice heretofore followed of displaying the flag of the United Nations in a position of superior prominence or honor, and other national flags in positions of equal prominence or honor, with that of the flag of the United States at the headquarters of the United Nations.
(g) When flags of two or more nations are displayed, they are to be flown from separate staffs of the same height. The flags should be of approximately equal size. International usage forbids the display of the flag of one nation above that of another nation in time of peace.

I respect you position but I believe you have to share the same level of respect for those who believe differently b/c that's what you and your fellow soldiers are fighting for.
Please do not discredit those of us who are not in the military. Our contributions to this country are just as great as yours. I respect and appreciate what soldiers do but no more than others who provide services to us like the police, fire dept. social workers, or teachers.

Well my family flies a Mexican flag in place of the US Flag, Call the police. haha. Its funny how the Jews can take back their homeland based on "biblical" evidence but we cant based on historical evidence. The fact that we are forced to go through rigorous immigration process to even go to our homeland is ridiculous. This country was founded by white "illegal" immigrants but when native mexicans cross that border we are demonized . Wave your flags and tell me Im free then use the word wetback to mess with me.

I understand Native Americans but the U.S. fought the Mexican Gov't and bought land. If the the Mexican people have a problem w/ a gov't look to Spain instead.

The land was stolen bro. US citizens moved into Texas (while it was still part of Mexico) paid no taxes due to immigration laws (sound familiar) populated until anglos outnumbered mexicans and then declared independence. Mexico tried to fight for it back, ended up losing then was forced to sell off other lands in order to pay back debt obligations caused by the war. I am not sure whether the population agreed to this or that the President was just a coward but the land was not won fair and square. I have reason to believe that the US knew this was going to happen and instigated it. There it is in a nutshell.

The Mexican gov't probably shouldn't have encouraged settelers from another country when they were trying to establish a new gov't. This wasn't an uncommon practice as the Europeans took land from Native Americans who then had the land taken away from them by the Colonists.

If that is your opinion then I agree, you should have your land back.
Just do me a favor...
When a foreign country comes to "your land" and claims it as their own, don't call the USA for help in protecting "your land." Get out your gun (if you own one) and stand on your front lawn and give your own life to protect it.
When some crack head breaks into your house in the middle of the night to steal your TV, don't call 911. 911 brings the police which exists because of a government that you hold no allegiance to and therefore have no right to ask for help when you need it. Deal with the crack head on your own.
When the economy on "your land" fails and a drought wipes out your crops and your family is starving and you have nowhere to turn, don't call the US for aide, call Mexico.

Man this just sounds stupid. Who is going to take our Land BESIDES the United States. Never in my life am I worried about Mexicans, Africans, Asians or anyone else coming over here and taking our land. Do you know why? Because they cling to their own Homeland. The only ones that seem to be on worldwide crusade are Europeans. Second my tribe has its own government, police, and hospital no thanks to you that takes care of our people as well as great social services and welfare that we provide for elders and disabled. All of this is funded by just two casinos. If you want to talk about money management, take a lesson.
