what seems to be happening at my PO is if the envelope appears think ie multiple cards but still under 100 grams they want to send as light packet , but if only one card ( thin envelope ) they charge over size lettermail , makes no sense but that is what seems to be happening at my PO

It make sense as when you have only one card, they can't tell if it's paper or not. When it's tick, it become more obvious that it is not only paper. This is why I prefer to deal with the red mailbox. Never talk back to me :)

CP is being a pain of late once they removed the small USA Xpresspost envelopes, added an extra $5 to the cost of shipping.
Heading over to the PO in a bit, wanna find out if I will have to give up Ebay or not lol

The Red Box will do you no good IF !!! the hole system ever decides to enforce the same rules , because your envelope can still be returned for incorrect postage at a sort facility or customs

I was at my P.O. earlier this week, shipping 2 packages across the border. Declared the cards as sports photos, which is true, and off they went at $2.20 each. Apparently, if you ship the cards in penny sleeves, taped between pieces of cardboard, customs can't do anything because the cardboard is paper too. I don't know, but it seems to be worth the risk. I'm wondering about shipping printing plates across the border though

So to clear things up, Light Packet has not been eliminated. And Canada Post prices remain the same.

Yes i would agree with this statement , just the rules seem sketchy with oversized mail vs light packet
