You shouldn't have anything to say on most issues....

I got plenty but it is beyond the comprehension of a conservative.

He's not a Liberal he says. Just votes for the side he feels won't completely destroy our country.

Yet he talks about the comprehension of conservatives. Oh the Irony.

What would workers comp violate? Also, what would maternity leave have to do with religion? It can be unpaid as well correct? I don't see what this would open up personally.

Say I work for a corporation ran by people who refuse to go to doctors based on religious belief. Say I get injured physically in their factory. If they can refuse coverage based off of religious belief it seems like they could get out of covering my injury that happened on their place of business even if their are laws that say they have to. As far as maternity leave, I threw that in since it's in the medical realm sort of... but the main point is who's to say that maternity leave wouldn't go against someone's religious belief. Yes, it's absurd, but just because it's not a part of the major religious beliefs that we are educated on doesn't mean that someone couldn't actually believe this based off of some religion. I think it just opens up a lot of loopholes. Who in this country can or can't deem something to be based off a religious belief? I say no one as we are free to believe whatever we want. A major religion shouldn't be the only one's that can claim something is against their religious belief so therefore it open the door for almost any claim.

Look past the fact that this deals with such a hot topic like Obamacare. We can debate that all day long. The fact is that at the time it is a law. I just don't see religious belief as a valid reason for a company to get out of providing something that is the law, whatever it is. Fight the law all you want but follow it until it's no longer law.

this is the is/ought fallacy in an argument. you can expand on something that is and make up any scenario, but the fact is, it is a made up scenario.

the fact is, these people are employed and have healthcare coverage. they should be able to afford their own BC.

Debating? On topic? This thread needs to he locked!

Okay, I think I've made my point. Stop randomly closing threads. It kills debate and encourages arguing.
