After work today, hit up the Atlanta Hawks at their hotel. Got the following to sign as they boarded the bus for the Palace before the game:

Head coach Mike Woodson - 1/1 trading card

Maurice Evans - 1/1 trading card

Zaza Pachulia - 1/1 trading card

Jason Collins - 1/1 trading card

Dominique Wilkins - 1/1 trading card (was little bit in a rush since he said he had to make a call, but would sign 1 per)

Jamal Crawford - 1/1 trading card

Mike Bibby - 1/1 trading card

Marvin Williams - 1/1 trading card

Al Horford - 1/1 trading card

Josh Smith - 1/1 trading card

Jeff Teague also signed, but I didn't get him. Only Mario West and Joe Smith ignored requests. Joe Johnson didn't make the trip due to injury.

Then immediately afterwards, drove up to the Palace for the Pistons vs. Hawks game. Decided to graph the Pistons during pregame shootaround, so got Jonas Jerebko on a trading card and Austin Daye on an 8 x 10 photo. Will Bynum also signed, but was in a rush to get to the lockeroom and didn't sign for the section I was waiting at. Stuckey, Summers, Atkins, and Big Ben didn't sign. The game itself was another thriller filled with back and forth dunks, but glad the Pistons came out on top with a rally in the last few minutes of the game.

Graphed the Toronto Raptors today at their hotel. Got the following to sign as they boarded the bus to the game:

Jose Calderon and Rasho Nesterovic signed, but I didn't get them. Everybody else either ignored or were in a rush to get on the bus.

Afterwards, immediately drove out to the Palace for the Pistons' last home game of the season against the Raptors. Arrived there when they started to let people in and only got Tayshaun Prince to sign a photo as he left the floor for the locker room after pregame shoot around. Jonas Jerebko and DaJuan Summers signed, but I didn't have anything for them to sign. Jason Maxiell signed a little bit for the folks on the other side of the tunnel. Daye, Stuckey, Atkins, Big Ben, and Bynum didn't sign. So much for "Fan Appreciation" night.

LOL. For real. I would think the final home game of the season and night they give thanks to their fans that supported them along the way, that those players out there on the floor before the game (if not all of the players) should take their time to stop and sign for whoever wanted their autographs. Just to show a little token of their appreciation. But apparently, they were too caught up in the moment of preparing for another lost that they forgotten they still had fans who cared.

Attended an independent wrestling show, Prime Time Wrestling, today. Got the following wrestlers to sign for me before the show:

Met Detroit Tigers' pitching ace, Justin Verlander, at a paid signing he was doing for the Detroit City Sports store out at the Lakeside Mall in Sterling Heights, MI today. Got Justin to sign my 16 x 20 photo. Then immediately afterwards, drove out to the ABC Warehouse store in Clinton Township, where Tigers' outfielders Austin Jackson and Brennan Boesch were making an appearance to benefit the Detroit Tigers' "Gloves For Kids" program. Made a monetary donation and got each of them on a 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 promo photo they were handing out, since they weren't signing any outside items.

Attended the Detroit Lions' 7th annual Tony Filippis Memorial Bocce Tournament held at the Palazzo di Bocce out in Lake Orion, MI today. Got the following personnels, who were there participating or in attendance, to sign:

former Lion and event honorary chairman Mike Utley - 1/1 trading card

Jahvid Best - 1/1 misc. team signed football, 1/1 black mini-football

NHL HOFer Ted Lindsay - 1/1 event program (didn't have anything for Ted to sign since I didn't know he was gonna be there)

Matthew Stafford - 1/1 8 x 10 photo

Got a total of 25 sigs on a football. The players I could make out are: Louis Delmas, Jason Hanson, Jahvid Best, Cliff Avril, Dante Wesley, Sammie Hill, Jason Hunter, Willie Young, Landon Cohen, Andre Fluellen, Corey Williams, Stephen Peterman, Trevor Canfield, Kurt Quarterman, Chima Ihekwoaba, Jonathan Hefney, Marquand Manuel, Paul Pratt, Jahi Word-Daniels, DeDe Dorsey, Sam Scroggins, Chris Houston, Jack Williams, and Caleb Campbell. Don't know who #28 was since the sig didn't look like that of Maurice Morris.


Missed out on some of the other players that were there. Ndamukong Suh and Calvin Johnson did not attend. My first time attending the event and did really good. The C-note price of admission to the event may of been steep, but well worth it in my book, especially the ability to mingle with the players, free drinks and buffet (which Stephen Peterman is said to have frequented 3 or more times. LOL).
