Sure was a good win Steve, this team is a bunch of fun right now, hopefully they don't decide to lose on my birthday tommorow.

5 pinch hitters in a row in the 9th saved a loss, Valverde 44/44 on saves, 4 straight sweeps, this team can't do anything wrong right now

Happy early birthday in case I don't get to wish you one tomorrow, you're a Virgo just like me,I celebrated my 50th on september 6th,ouch.The Tigers can do no wrong right now,but Chris Singleton was saying don't be too impressed as they are only beating the A.L. central right now.Any 11 game winning streak is impressive to me.

Miguel Cabrera is getting up there for MVP. If he can pass Gonzalez in average I'd give it to him.

I'd give Cabrera the mvp anyways,as he hits alot better in clutch situations.I get to see Gonzalez alot due to the fact they play the Yankees 18 times and he gets very small in crucial situations.

Thanks Steve. Yea I heard Chris Singleton say that, I guess he forgot most win streaks that last this long usually come from beating the teams you are suppose to beat (Like when Texas had a 12 gamer earlier this season).

I would select Miggy over Gonzo right now, based on other stats (OBP, SLG, OPS etc etc), but I still believe Verlander deserves it over Miggy, I just know at this point, he wont win it.

Cabrera and Victor Martinez are 1 and 2 in average with RISP, I think its just for the AL, might be all of Baseball though, both are right around .400

Wow I have to eat my words about Gonzalez though,he may not do it against the Yankees but his batting average with risp against the league is above .400 also.

Since the Indians look like they'll lose today the Tigers magic number is 2!

They can clinch the division title with a win and some help from other teams! Will be the first time in my lifetime seeing a division championship

It was easier to watch the teams be bad the first 13 years of my life. Watching the 06 collaspe (although turned into a WS run), the 07 collaspe, the 08 nightmare where everything went wrong, game 163 in 2009 and last season where a few injuries happened in a 2 week span, and the team just collasped (again) I couldnt handle more failure this year, but i'll sure as heck enjoy the division title a ton more now because of the past.

Don't feel bad,I didn't start rooting for the Yankees till 1967,so I got to see the lean years, till 1976 when they got swept in the series by the reds. Then there was the dry spell from 1982 through 1994 where they didn't even make the playoffs,so truth be told I've seen more bad Yankees baseball than good.
